Jeff published his first book! Woo hoo! And there was much rejoicing. To celebrate, he and his compadre, Scott, a musician, went camping for a week in the desert of Wyoming. Turns out, the down side of this plan was: a desert is dry and dead. "I spy with my little eye something beginning with the letter 'b'", said Scott. "Brown", said Jeff. Time passed, and then did so again. "Let's play cards," said Scott. A day later Scott did cry for there were no more games left to conquer. "I say," said Jeff "Why don't we invent a game." And so from these humble, bored, bored, bored beginnings sprang the game which we all know and love.
That's pretty much true, though I'm looking for Jeff (having found one of his books on Amazon) to see if i can get a more authoritative transcript of the germination conversation. I've no idea where to find Scott. If anyone out there sees them, direct them to this page with instructions to click the little "Email Us" link over there .
